Vintage Gold

I love how easily a card comes together when I use leftovers from another project.

This card is all about using leftover patterned papers from a previous project - plus I added the embellishments and mists from my stash.

It's kinda finny when I use leftover paper pieces I seem to be aimed towards more masculine colors.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Tuesday Crafty Tips #2!

Lets talk Copic marker and ink storage today.

I love all my precious inks and I must admit that my faves are the Tim Holtz Distress inks.
I have tried several storage ideas when it comes to ink and these are two of my most used ones.

If you have a larger drawers this is a great solution - all the colors are there in front of you but not in plain sight.

The the super-versatile Raskag cart from IKEA that can hold so many fab items and so many more. The plastic divider insert is also from IKEA.

Now when it come to my Copic storage I have tried two different solutions (both on the cheap site).

This first one uses these pretty flowers pots from IKEA and the second is also a container from IKEA. I prefer the latter cause it holds all my markers (well at least for now) and I can move them around the house as needed without to much effort.

Yes I love shopping for crafty-storage ideas at IKEA! :)

You're fabulous

I am back at work and everything is getting back to normal.

That means no more vacation chill-time and the hectic first 2 weeks at work are getting normalized.
So that means that my regular crafty hours are back and I have lots of ideas to share.

Library Mae is the perfect back-to-school/work image so I just had to create a card using this fab girlie!

Tuesday Crafty Tips #1!

I love to organize (and re-organize) my craft-room so I thought I would start a mini organizing series called Tuesday Crafty Tips!
That means I will be sharing some easy organizing tips for the next 4 weeks.

The first organizing tip is all about glimmer mists. I have tried several ways of storing these pretties and the other day I decided to give this lil shelf from IKEA a go.

The shelf is meant for photo-frames but I really love how all my mists fit on these  shelves plus I might even use them more often since I have them staring at me while I craft.

These shelves are great ti store those little special treasures too!

I hope this quick lil tip was useful!

Ohh Happy Day Folio

I haven't created a Folio-mini for awhile but I just finished this one and I love how it turned out.

I think I am in love with all things gold and sparkly and this gorgeous paper collection by My Minds Eye is so much fun to work with.

Not only are many of the patterned papers foiled but the patterns are so pretty that I had hard time covering them up.

Everything in the folio is kept kinda flat so that it's easier to add photos without too much bulk but I just had to add some dimension on the front cover.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Getting some Project Life stuff back on track

I haven't been much of a Project Life crafter but I am trying to get back into the swing of things.

I have so many PL-kits from Studio Calico and Cocoa Daisy then I kinda need to put to good use so why not use them to get back into the documenting swing.

I take so many photos and to be completely honest I will never scrapbook all those photos so the PL-thing is kinda what I need to get my photos in order.

The hardest part about PL-Documenting is taking pics of those spreads, but practice makes perfect.

Until next time!

Daisy Mae

I am a total newbie when it comes to water-coloring but I do love to use this medium.

I recently purchased the Faber Castell watercolor pencils and I am just figuring out how they work.

I used the Daisy Mae clear stamp set from Some Odd Girl along with some fave Crate Papers. You can find more photos and info over at the Odd blog.
